Please, help!!!!!
I want to be rid of baby tears because they spread everywhere and kill my flowers. What you can recommend?
Baby Tears?
Sorry, but the only way I can think of to get rid of them is to uproot them. Only by getting the roots out can you get rid of the whole thing. Otherwise they%26#039;ll keep coming back.
Reply:SOLEIROLIA soleirolii. baby%26#039;s tears. no june bride could do without them, no September gardener wanted them in his garden! as a wonderful filler in tens of thousands of beautiful floral arrangements each year, few know what a nasty little weed it can be in the growing in the ground. up-to 18 inches tall, spreading indefinitely (under statement) by creeping stems, it%26#039;s inconspicuous flowers are treasured by every florist, cursed by every greenhouse operator in the world. don%26#039;t plant %26#039;um in your garden! plant them in your worst enemy%26#039;s garden instead. (as long as they don%26#039;t live near you!)

Need help with my wedding planning :( Re: Flowers!!!!?
So I have come to the point where planning for my wedding is no longer fun and it%26#039;s becoming way too stressful (for those of you 4 months away from you wedding date I am sure you can relate). I have decided to venture out and get your opinions to hopefully help in me in some way because God knows I need it...lol.
For the life of me, I cannot decide what I want to do about my bridesmaids flowers. I am wearing ivory, my BM are wearing taupe with champagne sash (Bill Levkoff #966). I know 2 things for sure - I want the flowers to all be roses and I want white with baby pink roses. Now, for my girls, I just don%26#039;t know :( I do know that I want their bouqets different than mine, but I also want them to compliment mine.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated =)
Need help with my wedding planning :( Re: Flowers!!!!?
You have a few options.
- You can make smaller versions of your bouquet for each girl
- or you can do smaller and single color bouquets. For example: your flowers are white and pink, their%26#039;s are all pink.
- Another option is to have the maid of honor hold one color and the bridesmaids hold bouquets made from the other color.
- Since your bouquet is white and pink roses, another option would be bouquets of pink roses with small white accents - this way, they are not the same as yours, but still have the same colors. The white accents could be baby%26#039;s breath, stephaotis, pearls, ribbon, etc.
Reply:Honestly? Ten years from now you will not care if your BM wore taupe, stripes, or polka dots. What you will care about is the memory of the moment your eyes met your new husbands and he smiled at you. Or the moment a tear escaped your eye and he brushed it away with his finger. Or the moment that ...I think you get the point. All of the planning for what amounts to one big drunken dinner party in the end is silly. So much time wasted planning one day and too little time spent planning a life. Rethink your priorities and you will never regret it.
Reply:I would suggest all pink for BM%26#039;s! If you have a Maid / Matron of Honor then Let them be one color %26amp; the bridesmaid the other
Reply:Make theirs the same but lots smaller with fewer flowers. If your florist is used to designing wedding flowers they will be happy to render suggestions to you. They should also have a book with lots of pictures to help you visualize better what they can do. Please let them handle this that is what they are there for.
Reply:I had Gerber daisies, my flowers were orange (favorite color) and my girls wore different colors. so we incorporated the flowers with their dresses.
Reply:/i would use gerber daisy%26#039;s and roses for the girls.
Reply:My bridesmaids are wearing that exact style from Bill Levkoff as well (mine are in euro-celadon though). How about hydrangeas in shades of ivory/cream/pale green with pale pink antique roses interspersed. The flowers will be a variation of your bouquet, and cream/pink/pale green is a superb color combo! I have seen that exact palette and trust me, it%26#039;s exquisite.
Reply:I would suggest using the same colours that yours will be and then add in a completely different colour to compliment the white and pink. Maybe a purple or a blue colour to give it some punch. Their arrangements should be smaller than your own.

Baby Rabbit nest in yard?
Just today we found a baby rabbit nest in our back yard behind some flowers. this is not the first time, and we are rather acoustomed to it however we have hit a bump in the road. Our yellow lab noticed the nest and started digging in there. It appers that none of the babys are harmed, however we are worried she will do it again. Last year when she saw a baby rabbit hopping through our yard she caught and killed it. What hsould we do to protect these rabbits from our dog? Also, in the event the mother does not return to the nest, what so we do?
Baby Rabbit nest in yard?
I would put up some of that wire fencing that you can stick in the ground. It has large holes that mamma rabbit can go through, but should help to keep your lab out.
You might also try keeping your dog on a leash for a couple weeks while she is out in the yard. That way the baby bunnies will have time to mature and leave the nest.
As far as what happens if the mother does not return to the nest.... Well, let me just say, it is extremely hard to raise wild baby rabbits. I have tried a couple of times and not had any success. It was very sad. However, it is not completely out of the question, because I know someone who has done it.
Good luck!!
Reply:I agree with the others here saying keep the dog confined for a couple weeks and leave the nest alone. The mother rabbit will likely return if it%26#039;s safe to do so - just leave it alone and keep the dog away from it. In a couple weeks the babies will be big enough to survive. Few survive with messing with them and taking them away from the mother, even when fostered onto domestic rabbits.
I%26#039;d hesitate putting too much up that looks different - if the mother rabbit thinks it%26#039;s unsafe she may hesitate to return. Keep in mind rabbits only nurse a couple times a day...you may not SEE her come back. If you check the babies their bellies will be full.
Reply:Keep your dog inside or on a leash to be safe, and let nature run its course. As long as humans don%26#039;t interfere, the mother will return to look and feed her young. My only advice is to keep your dog away but dont wire up the area because the mother might nto be able to return.
Reply:1.) first you have to call animal control.
2.) You need to keep your dog on a leash or a inside, there is no question about it you have to call animal control.
3.) animal control can also put down something that will keep the bunnies away.

What to do with 5 baby bunny's? Help quick please!?
I was working in my flower garden yesterday and found 5 baby bunnies. It doesn%26#039;t look like the momma came back last night or this morning. Their little eyes aren%26#039;t even open yet. What should I do?
What to do with 5 baby bunny%26#039;s? Help quick please!?
Put them back where you found them!
According to the House Rabbit Society:
%26quot;Many people mean well when they contact HRS after discovering an %26quot;abandoned%26quot; nest of wild rabbits. Often they wish to %26quot;rehabilitate%26quot; them with some advice from others. The reality is fewer than 10% of orphaned rabbits survive a week, and the care that people attempt to provide can be illegal, unnecessary, and potentially harmful. The best thing you can do is put the bunny right back where you found him, in the general area, as the Mom will only come back at night to call and find him. Leave the area. If injured, please contact a Wildlife Rehabilitator or rabbit vet immediately.
Rabbit mothers nurse their babies for approximately 5 minutes a day. They will be in the nest early in the morning and then again in the evening. The milk is very rich and the babies %26quot;fill up%26quot; to capacity within minutes. Mother rabbits do not %26quot;sit%26quot; on the babies to keep them warm as do some mammals and birds. They build a nest with fur and grasses which helps to keep the babies warm in between feedings...If you come across a nest of bunnies in the wild and the mother is no where to be seen, please DO NOT disturb them...this is normal. By removing them from the nest you are greatly reducing their chances of survival.
If your dog disturbs a nest or you find a wild bunny with its eyes open, please put him back if not injured. Mom will be coming back at night to call and feed him only once in the middle of the night. Do not take the bunny inside or feed him. That is the mom%26#039;s job. IT IS A MATTER OF HIS/HER SURVIVAL AND UP TO US AS HUMANS TO LEAVE NATURE BE AND LET THE MOM CARE FOR HER YOUNG. We often hear of mothers moving their babies and their nests, and have seen moms come back every night for up to a week to look for her missing baby. Do not take the baby from the mom or she will be frantic.
Mother rabbits return to the nest to nurse only at night, staying away as much as possible so as not to attract predators. To determine if the mother is returning, create a tic-tac-toe pattern over the nest with straw, grasses or tiny twigs. Wait 24 hours to see if the twigs have been disturbed. She may be able to feed them without moving the twigs much, so double check--If the babies look healthy, are warm, then the mother is coming back. If they are cold, dehydrated, get them to a professional; do not care for them yourself. Please contact a Wildlife Rehabilitator or rabbit vet immediately.%26quot;
http://www.rabbit.org/faq/sections/orpha...
If the bunnies are orphaned or injured, contact a licensed wildlife rehabilitator. You can find one here: http://www.tc.umn.edu/~devo0028/contact.... or here: http://www.wildliferehabber.org/
Licensed wildlife rehabilitators have the specialized training to care for sick, injured and orphaned wild animals, and they have the required state and federal licenses that allow them to keep the wild animals until they are healthy enough to be released.
Do not take the animals to a vet - vets are for pets, and most vets do not have the expertise to care for wild animals; nor do most vets have the proper licenses that would allow them to keep a recuperating wild animal.
Do not attempt to care for these animals yourself. In almost every state, it is illegal to keep wild animals as pets, and if it is your intention to just care for it until it can be released, most states require people who rehabilitate wildlife for release to be licensed.
“Wildlife rehabilitation licenses or permits are required to work with most native species, since wildlife is a natural resource and considered the property of the collective people of a state. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service requires federal rehabilitation permits to work with migratory bird species, marine mammals, and species listed under the Endangered Species Act. With very few exceptions, wildlife agencies require wildlife rehabilitation permits or licenses to rehabilitate wildlife.%26quot; http://www.ewildagain.org/pdf/RecBooklet...
Reply:Awh! I love baby bunnies. I found an abandoned baby last summer, nursed it back to health and released it over the winter. The only reason the mother wouldn%26#039;t come back is if she was hit by a car, etc. If the mother truely is gone, they need to be taken care of. If their eyes are still shut they probably need to be taken to a shelter, especially if there are 5 of them. It%26#039;s fun to take care of them though! I fed mine pedialite through an eye dropper for the first month or so. It was, the cutest thing.
Good luck!
btw- When people say that if you get your scent on them the mother will never come back. TOTALLY untrue. The mother thinks of her babies first. She will always come back if she can.
Reply:Hmmmm.... if the mom came back and they are breathing alright etc. I would just leave them alone. But if you think there is a problem see if you can catch the mom and the babies safely and possibly take them to a vet or a shelter... But make sure that if u catch them u catch ALL of them with the mom k?
:) They are adorable when they are little huh? they are adorable anyway :)
Reply:What ever you do don%26#039;t touch them. I would call your local animal shelter and have them deal with it. On average less then 10% of adopted new born rabbits survive. An animal shelter will have what they need to take care of them. I would leave the area alone and don%26#039;t hang around because the mother might be afraid to come get them.
Reply:my sisters rabbit had babies two summers ago. she had 7 i think. when i went to check them 5 were dead. she was a first time mother. one died in my hands. the one that lived i kept alive for a week. my dad and i went to the pet store and got canned kittens milk and a small pet bottle. i put a heating pad under a towel in a small bowel in a box and kept it next to me. feeding it every two hours even during the night. one morning i just woke up and it was gone. i cried yes but thats the fact of life. plus i was only 14. good luck. i hope this helps!!
Reply:give them to a local the vet and see what you can do with them and if you dont feel you can care for them when they are old enough to hold their own give them to a local pet store to sell
Reply:I would bring them to a animal rescue centre aspeshally if there eyes are not even open but be sure that the mother is defenatly gone
Reply:Call a vet or an animal shelter. don%26#039;t pick them up. you can try to feed them some lettuce and water from a clean eye dropper.

Reply:Let their mother take care of them!!!! Them buy a cage and give them hay and vegies and water and dry rabit food.
Reply:Just leave them alone. Rabbits are pretty cautious animals and just because you don%26#039;t think the mom hasn%26#039;t come back doesn%26#039;t mean it%26#039;s true.
Reply:bring them to an animal shelter or get a baby batle and hand feed them with milk

Mother rabbits return to the nest to nurse only at night, staying away as much as possible so as not to attract predators. To determine if the mother is returning, create a tic-tac-toe pattern over the nest with straw, grasses or tiny twigs. Wait 24 hours to see if the twigs have been disturbed. She may be able to feed them without moving the twigs much, so double check--If the babies look healthy, are warm, then the mother is coming back. If they are cold, dehydrated, get them to a professional; do not care for them yourself. Please contact a Wildlife Rehabilitator or rabbit vet immediately.%26quot;
http://www.rabbit.org/faq/sections/orpha...

What do baby avocados look like? a flower maybe?
They start out as a little flower bud. Groups of them form on a single branch. They then just start forming mini avocados and keep growing until they reach their maximum size.

im an exotics vet tech....if your rabbit is a baby, it is best, not to give him pellets (this will cause a slow grow rate of the lowr jaw, causing mallocclussions leading to severe problems). stick with the leafy greens and and timothy hay. good leafy greens are, kale, collards, chickory, dandilion, rommaine, raddichio, escarole, broc leaves, carrot or beat TOPS, the leaves from celery.....pretty much any leafy green that u can find in your produce aisle at the food store (no iceberg lettuce, it doesnt have a lot of nutrional value). they can have as much greens as they want, theres no limit, that and hay. as for treats, u can give things like apples, all sort of berries (strawberries, blueberries for ex), pineapple, mango, papaya, and cherries (fresh of course). but u want to limit this to 1 heaping tablespoon for every 2 pounds your bunny is (example a 4 pound bunny can have 2 tablespoons of treat foods) and this is a serviing size per day. never feed anything starchy like potatoes or corn, and stay away from grains, like cereals, breads, crackers, etc. if u have any questions, feel free to contact me at surfkitten79@aol.com, good luck.
PS. DO NOT FEED YOUR RABBITS OATS ( I JUST NOTICED A PERSON SAID THAT ON AN ANSWER AND THEY PUT AS A VET RECCOMMENDS...NO VET WHO UNDERSTANDS THE GI TRACT OF A RABBIT WOULD SUGGEST OATS. AND ONCE AGAIN, STAY AWAY FROM PELLETS...U CAN SAVE 100%26#039;S IN NOT 1,000s OF DOLLARS ON VET BILLS FOR TEETH TRIMS (COS ONCE A RABBIT HAS A MALOCCLUDED JAW....IT WILL NEED TEETH TRIMS FOR THE REST OF ITS LIFE, MAYBE ONCE A MONTH, MAYBE ONCE EVERY COUPLE MONTHS, OR EVEN ONCE A WEEK....IT CAN BE COSTLY...STICK TO THE GREENS I LISTED AND TIMOTHY HAY ONLY. GOOD LUCK.

Reply:You can also give her parcely, mint (great treat for them), and greens also tops off of fresh carrots, the carrots themselves are good for them too Just about anything thats a green or leafy vegtable works well for rabbits. My bunny also likes apples, pears, peaches, oranges, bananas, but only in small peices and not every day.
Dont forget to make sure that you are giving your baby rabbit actual rabbit feed as well as oats and if your vet suggests it vitamins in her water. They cant get everything they need in captivity from vegtables alone unfortunately. Another thing you can give her for a treet is sweet grass. Thats the thick grass that grows in most yards. But dont give it to her before you wash it because you never know for sure whats been sprayed on grass.
For an extra treat you can also give your bunny cheerios or little bits of plain cereals (no chocolates or suggery ones).
Reply:rabbits dont only like carrots. they like lettuce. and maybe even cabbages! ^.^
Reply:I agree completely with Martha, be very cautious about the amount of vegetables your rabbit gets particularly under 6 months of age.
Rabbits have digestive tracts designed to digest roughage so too many rich foods can cause serious problems such as diarrhoea or as an opposite, constipation.
To begin with offer your rabbit just a tiny amount of one particular type of veg, and offer new one%26#039;s very gradually over a period of time.
Avoid Iceburg Lettuce completely and fruits to begin with, these should be given in very small amounts anyway. Spinach, Kale, Spring Greens, Carrots, Cauliflower, Cabbage, and leafy lettuces (such as Cos or Curly) are fine as the rabbit gets older, but stick just to one kind for now.
As far as the rest of the diet goes stick to a good quality hay and try to get a complete pellet food rather than a mix. Rabbits are selective feeders and will leave the good stuff and eat the tasty stuff, meaning their diet will be unbalanced. A complete pellet has all the ingredients mixed into one pellet so will stop selective feeding.
Hope this helps :)
Reply:I%26#039;d be cautious about giving a baby rabbit too many vegetables. You don%26#039;t say how old the bunny is, but if under 1 year should be getting unlimited alfalfa pellets (plain only) and alfalfa hay along with timothy or other grass hays.
I would introduce one safe vegetable at a time in small quantities to be sure your bunny can tolerate them. And avoid spinach for now - it is high in oxalates. As for fruits, they should be limited.
This site is excellent and has very good diet advice including lists of safe fruits and vegetables:

What keeps deer and rabbits from eating my flowers and bushes?
I am having a problem with deer and rabbits eating my flowers, my bushes, my magnolia tree buds, even my baby pine trees! My mom said she tried a commercial product that was somewhat expensive and didn%26#039;t work very well. I am trying to come up with an idea of something natural (and maybe less expensive) I can spray on the plants that would not hurt the plants. I thought of trying either cayenne pepper mixed with water or hot sauce mixed with water. But I%26#039;m not sure if it will harm the plants. Does anybody know? And are there any other ideas out there? I%26#039;m tired of putting in all the work and then having my plants eaten. Oh, fencing is not an option because the flowers are on a walkway where fencing wouldn%26#039;t work and the magnolia is too tall for fencing. Thank you!
What keeps deer and rabbits from eating my flowers and bushes?
I use Hinder that is some kind of urea and it really works. It washes off the trees in the rain and you have to put more on.
I used some kind of pepper spray. I don%26#039;t think if you make a pepper spray it would hurt anything. Sounds expensive to me. I think you would need to use a lot of it.
Hinder also will make the plants grow because the urea is nitrogen. When I spray it the trees grow greener and faster.
Reply:I have heard that you can get hair from your beauty shop and put that around your flowers and such and that will help.
Reply:Soak rags in creosote and tie them to stakes around the plants; the smell is so strong that the deer, etc. can%26#039;t smell if any predators are around and so will not risk feeding.
I have also heard, (but not tried), that lion poo will scare them away. You can buy it from zoos and some garden centers.
Chilli also works, but needs frequent applications.

Reply:Do mix hot sauce or cayenne pepper with water. it will not hurt the plants and it will definitely stop the animals from eating your plants. I have never ued this method, but several people I know have recommended it to me.
Plant some marigolds near the plants that are being eaten. You can buy marigolds that get very tall and marigolds that stay small and close to the ground. They have an odor that is barely notiecable to humans but drives animals crazy, they really hate it. I use them around my vegetable garden and they really work. Not to mention, they%26#039;re pretty.
Reply:My wife had a rabbit problem in our garden. She%26#039;s really into %26quot;all-natural%26quot; and safe products, so she found a website that sells a rabbit repellent like that. It worked really well, and she uses it all the time now. You can go to http://www.naturalrabbitrepel.com
Good luck!
Reply:Go to www.repellex.com. They have two types of deer and rabbit repellents and both are considered safe and natural. You can make your own at home mixes that work, but you need to be careful how much you mix. If the oil concentration is too high you have a small chance of harming delicate plants.
Reply:Do you eat meat? If so your urine makes you a predator. Pee around your yard.

Baby and wedding?
We are getting married in June and have a 5 month old who is going to be our pretty little flower girl :o) We want another baby, and when our baby starts eating solids as well as breastfeeding in the next few months, it will become more likely that I will become pregnant thus meaning I could potentially be a couple of months pregnant when we get married. I was just wondering what people consider the pros/cons of this to be? I thought it would be nice as we could maybe announce the happy news at the wedding, but then I could be sick, won%26#039;t be able to have anything to drink (not too bothered about that bit though)... Has anyone got married whilst pregnant? Would you recommend/discourage it?
Baby and wedding?
Although waiting a few months would be ideal, it%26#039;s not unrealistic to plan a wedding and a pregnancy. My fiance%26#039;s child-hood best friend was 5 months pregnant at her wedding. She and her fiance were very much in love, but once found out they were having the baby, they pushed up the wedding date. The cons: emotional, skin problems (she had REAL BAD acne at the time), stress of planning a wedding %26amp; baby (but at least you%26#039;ve gone through the baby part before), a ton of dress fittings and alterations, ect... The pros: You are the up-most center of attention (bride %26amp; mother-to-be), can curb those cravings with amazing food %26amp; desert, you and your hubby will feel a much closer bond the day of your wedding, and finally your child can see the great pics of your wedding day with him/her in you belly :) Whatever you decide: plan carefully, take deep breaths, and have a great time!!
Reply:Stop overthinking this whole thing. Let nature takes it course and deal with it when and if it comes. Your going to stress yourself out.
Reply:I%26#039;d wait til the wedding is over and your daughter is just a couple of months older and settled in to her new routine of being weaned on to solids and your body has time to get over being pregnant and breastfeeding from the first baby, having a wedding and looking after a child is exhausting enough without being pregnant as well. June is only 4 months away, just get loads of practise in making babies and wait til after the wedding, have a %26quot;honeymoon baby%26quot;.
Reply:If you%26#039;re getting married in June, what%26#039;s the harm in putting off the next pregnancy a couple months? You%26#039;re right, you could be dealing with morning sickness and exhaustion. You shouldn%26#039;t have to worry about wedding arrangements and a pregnancy at the same time.
That being said, you certainly wouldn%26#039;t be the first bride to do it!
Reply:I would recommend not getting pregnant until after you are married. You are setting a bad example. You shouldn%26#039;t have kids just to %26quot;announce the happy news at the wedding,%26quot; people already probably think you are a hoochie.
Reply:I say wait enjoy your wedding it Will only happy once in your life hopefully. I than after the wedding start trying that way you can have your wedding be about just getting married not being pregnant too.
Reply:I would recommend waiting to get pregnant until after your wedding..You only have 4 months away so that way you wont get sick/sluggish/hormonal at your wedding.. Announcing a baby at a wedding sounds great, but don%26#039;t you want to enjoy yourself while at your wedding? I know I would want to..I wouldn%26#039;t want to be sick if I was at my wedding because I was pregnant..I would wait and enjoy yourself during your big day..You only get one day to get married, but you can easily get pregnant any day...Good Luck and Congratulations!
Reply:I don%26#039;t think it matters at all. The biggest problem will be getting an appropriate dress for the wedding. You won%26#039;t have any idea how big you%26#039;ll be so you%26#039;ll pretty much have to wait until the last minute to get a dress that fits. Good luck.
Reply:Weddings are very expensive and time consuming in most cases. I dont know if you are having a tiny little backyard gathering or a full on wedding, but in either case, the wedding should be special in its own right, without the addition of %26quot;i am pregnant%26quot;. As great of an idea it is to announce a pregnancy at a wedding you are really only taking away from your own enjoyment and your own special day.
No woman would chose to be pregnant on her wedding day, usually in those cases the pregnancy is accidental. Also, why not enjoy your baby a little bit more, wait until the baby turns atleast 1 years old to start trying for another one.
I really do not see the necessity of you planning a pregnancy right before your wedding. Enjoy your wedding just for what it is, for it (should) only happen once in your lfe
Reply:Id say wait. Its not long at all until you get married. It will fly by. Youll feel better at the wedding too. No feelin sick and such. Prolly feel %26quot;prettier%26quot; in your dress as well.
Reply:Your getting married in a hot month so why add the discomfort of lugging around pregnancy weight. Not to mention your body could change so much that you would have such a hard time knowing if your dress would fit. I can%26#039;t imagine why you couldn%26#039;t wait till after the wedding. Nothing says classy like trying to get knocked up as many times as you can before you walk down the aisle.

Baby shower HEELPP!?
I%26#039;m throwing one of my best friends a baby shower. ANother good friend of hers threw her one for her %26quot;church family%26quot; about 2 weeks ago. Mine is this Saturday. I saw pictures of the other one and HOLY COW. The cake was gorgeous, 3 tiers, with fondant flower daisy%26#039;s and an icing baby in a carriage on top! She had 3 diaper cake centerpieces all custom made. Gorgeous customized %26quot;can%26#039;t wait to meet you, ava!%26quot; balloons and catered deli sandwiches.
I bought pastel plates at the dollar tree.. I was gonna make some punch, and some mini sandwiches along with pink cupcakes... a few shower games with scented candle prizes.... I feel like my shower is gonna look sooo cheap and trashy compared to her other one!! What do I do? I%26#039;m on a budget!!! How can I make things look and feel more upscale!?!?!?!
Baby shower HEELPP!?
your doing just fine. Remember you have a budget on your own, the church family probably all put in a few bucks. She had the %26quot;big%26quot; one already, yours is going to be more personable.
what you have sounds really sweet. Remember its not how much you spend, its that you are a good enough friend to do this for her.. she%26#039;ll love it!

Reply:I%26#039;m sure your best friend will love any shower you throw her. And I am sure she is not expecting an extremely lavish party. It wont even enter her mind to compare the two showers! I%26#039;ve had 2 very simple showers thrown for me. And I%26#039;ll tell ya, I could of cared less about the decorations, or the cake. I was more focused on opening all those presents!! Showers are expensive, especially if you are doing it alone!! I threw a shower for my best friend a few months ago, and everyone there was alot more impressed with the outcome than I was. I didnt think it was anything to brag about....but four different people said I should become a party planner. I%26#039;m sure yours will turn out alot better than you expect!!
Reply:Don%26#039;t worry about a thing! She will understand that you don%26#039;t have the money to throw a lavish baby shower! Yours will be from the heart and that%26#039;s what counts. If you are that worried, then ask someone to go in on it with you and pump it up a notch.
Reply:don%26#039;t feel bad and compare yours to theirs just make it so that the shower is focused on her and the baby and that you have lots of fun.
You can make it personalized - like get pics of her before the pregnancy, with her partner, as the pregnancy progressed, or like a clip art pic of an ept wand and people jumping with glee and add funny captions and stuff to create a scrapbook effect on the walls at the venue.
Make the games as fun as possible and don%26#039;t obsess about matching up to the jones%26#039; as long as you do your best and have fun you should be fine.

if you%26#039;re into pastel colors...go with that color motiff. like have all the items in different pastel colors. from cups to plates, with spoon and fork, for the serving table, make it in a white cloth with paper strips and dots of pastel around. for a centerpiece, make a different kind of diaper cake, instead of diaper cake make it a crib cake...it would cost a little higher, sorry. for the foods, try having finger foods instead, since that would be a little party for the little one. have a baby cupcakes that you will design on your own, all you need is just the baby cupcakes, choco mousse or cream, sprinkles and mallows. you can also have tarts, crinckles, fresh fruits and even little burgers if you want. for the drink, try berry-sprite delight or berry soda. all you need is your berry/strawberry syrup and sprite or soda water, plus a lot of ice....
i hope this could help, these are the things i did when i throw a baby shower for my youngest son...only in BLUE.

Reply:I think that is very thoughtful of you to have a shower for your friend. It does not have to be elaborate. I think with an addition to the punch you may want ot have coffee and bottled water for people. Some light snacks like veggies, peanuts etc.. For the cupcakes you can frost them with pastel colored frosting. You can pick up some nice decorations from the dollar store. I would aim for things you would be able to use after the shower for yourself or things that would make nice %26quot;prizes%26quot; for the winner of the games. I don%26#039;t think that your shower will be cheezy. Your friend is going to appreciate everything that you are doing for her.

Baby Grace & Madeleine McCann?
Btw if you%26#039;re %26#039;bored%26#039; of Maddie please don%26#039;t read this question %26amp; certainly don%26#039;t answer.
-
Baby Grace was found in a box in the sea by fishermen.
These are similarities between Baby Grace %26amp; Maddie McCann.
- Baby Grace was wearing white trainers with purple flowers on them and a stripe around the bottom. A photo has seen Maddie McCann wear the same type of shoes.
- The box Baby Grace was found in could only be sold in WalMart stores. Gerry McCann had plenty of opportunity to visit WalMart while on his trip to the USA for the %26#039;find Madeleine%26#039; campaign.
- Baby Grace was wearing clothes by Cherokee. People could buy these clothes in WalMart or Target. The clothes could also have been bought from Tesco in the UK.
More information can be found here.

Baby Grace %26amp; Madeleine McCann?
The investigators considered Maddy and ruled out that Baby Grace was her soon after Baby Grace was found.
Reply:What a good question. I gave you a star.
Here is a website by a Portuguese journalist which deals, inter alia, with Baby Grace AND with Madeleine cases. It is both in Portuguese and in English.
Please explore the site. It is brilliant.

Reply:At last, someone thinking on the same track as me, as I follow these 2 investigations.
There%26#039;s something very fishy (excuse the pun!) about the Baby Grace case, and I wonder if the evidence has been tampered with upon the orders from British authorities, as has happened in Maddie%26#039;s case. It would be truly noxious if this arm of manipulation has stretched that far.
However, it is ENTIRELY POSSIBLE for the missing Maddie to end up washing ashore in Galveston,Texas.
Here%26#039;s how.
My pet theory was always that Maddie%26#039;s body was removed shortly after she died, and before the alarm was called, and was spirited away to a British owned yacht. This yacht left its moorings after 2 years of being docked at Lagos harbour.
The British owner and the yacht have not been traced since.
There was a witness who saw a child being carried towards that mooring. My guess is that Murat was called in by the McCanns for a favour. Being a dual citizen and long term resident in the Algarve, he has many contacts with the affluent people he sells real estate to. He supplied the contact of a Brit with a yacht, (and was later double-crossed by the McCanns fingering him as the abductor!)
Then, one of two things could have happened in this scenario.
Either the body was dumped at sea, with weights, off the coast of Portugal.
Or the Brit-with-the-yacht took a nice trip to the Caribbean, and dumped it there. (There are Wallmarts and Tescos there too!)....(Note that he could also have gone further to the Gulf of Mexico, but a British yacht in the Caribbean is not an unusual sight).
That%26#039;s how a body tossed at sea could could end up washing up on the Texas coast.
It has also been speculated that a box was boarded onto a cargo ship on a regular sailing to Galveston, Texas that departs from......HUELGA, Spain! Yes, the port town that was visited by the McCanns on a public holiday.
(Please note, to be fair, that Gerry%26#039;s blog said Huelga was 50kms from the Spanish border, not from Praia da Luz....that was a misquote.) This scenario is more contrived, though, because the %26#039;cargo%26#039; would have to be accompanied by the person who dumps it near Galveston........although, not impossible to arrange.
I lean towards the removal of Maddie%26#039;s body at an earlier stage. (i.e. the yacht theory)
The most curious thing is that there appears no confirmation about whether Baby Grace%26#039;s eye had that distinguishing mark of the Coloboma syndrome or not. Also, whether that mark, which is a %26#039;gap%26#039; in the iris, can close up after death. Or even if Grace%26#039;s right eye was %26#039;intact%26#039; when found.....??
The plot thickens!.....And the mind boggles at all the mysteries surrounding these two cases.
Reply:I thought they ruled out she was Madeleine using dental records?
Reply:If it were her couldn%26#039;t they simply have taken DNA by now? I don%26#039;t think it is her to be honest, the link made for a surprising read...I%26#039;m still not sold on the hair length theory though!.
Reply:I really dont think that Baby Grace is Madeleine. How would anyone have snuck her in to the USA with all the news footage of little Maddie. Chances are Baby Grace is just a child missing from right here in the untied states and the police just havent found out which child
Reply:The authorities are doing a DNA test on the little girl that was found in the tote. That would be the only way they could prove if it was Maddie or not.
Reply:There is no way that baby Grace is Madeline. It is a coincidence that they are wearing similar clothes and the walmart box is also a coincidence. You have read too much into this as well. No way anyone could have sneaked this child into the US. NO way!

Stinky flowers?
I just bought some roses at my local groceries and it came with some bouquet filler...like baby%26#039;s breath.
The whole bouquet smells BAD- like feet.
It%26#039;s very pale purple...almost lavendar (the filler) and it almost looks like wheat- the way it is on the stem, versus baby%26#039;s breath that looks like tiny little flowers at the end of the stem.
Is this what smells?? I thought it might be bad water that they were sitting in, but the bottom of the stems smell fine. It%26#039;s the tops that stink.
I%26#039;ve seperated them, but I think the poor roses picked up the scent...bleh.
Help.
Stinky flowers?
Yes, I bought them before. Its called purple phoenix and it smells exactly like some dogs have urinated on them.
Reply:Yes. Some fillers do have an odor. I%26#039;ve worked with dried baby%26#039;s breath (there are different types) and it does smell.

Can you have more than one baby in the Sims 1?
I don%26#039;t mean little kids that you make on the %26quot;Create Family%26quot; option. I mean the ones that when you kiss and someone asks if you want to have a baby, and then a newborn baby pops out in an explosion of flowers.
Can you have more than one baby in the Sims 1?

Name of the song in the AT&T Ad - Flowers?
Does anyone know the name of the song and the artist who did the song AT%26amp;T is using in its ads currently. Song goes something like this: %26quot;Baby, I fell asleep and made the flowers, for a couple of hours, on a beautiful day.%26quot;
Thanks.

How do I create a baby gift basket?
I saw a picture of a baby gift basket in which the baby clothes were folded to look like flowers and placed on stems to look like tulips. I think they%26#039;re called baby bunch baskets. I would love to make one for my friend%26#039;s baby shower, but I haven%26#039;t the slightest idea on where to find the instructions for it online. Does anyone know?

Reply:try babycrafts.com, there are some adorable ideas for baby shower gifts and decorations!
Reply:I dont know how they do theirs, but I could give you some ideas, receiving blankets could be folded lengthwise then rolled up, and cinched at the base with ribbon so that the resemble roses. Onsies could probably be rolled the same way. Two baby washcloths could be laid one on top the other, pick up at the center so all corners are hanging and tie to make another type of flower (like you would make a tissue paper flower) also look up %26quot;diaper cakes%26quot; those are really cute. I would fill a basket with baby items such as pacifiers, bottles, teething rings, rattles, toys, bibs, etc. and place the specially folded items around the edges for embellishment.
be creative, nothing you do will turn out %26quot;bad%26quot; just play with it a while.
good luck and have fun! I think making a baby gift basket is a wonderful idea and a very thoughtful gift with a personal touch.

Baby girl nature names?
I was looking for idess for baby girl names.
what nature names(plants, flowers, seasons, fruits ,or even gems %26amp; precious stones) can you think of as a pretty baby girl name?
Baby girl nature names?
Autumn is one of my favourite names EVER for a girl. It%26#039;s much more mature than Summer, and Autumn seems more sophiscated and classy. Autumn Lily is beautiful. A season and a flower, perfect :)
Rose is probably the most popular name out there, but it%26#039;s simple and sweet. I was thinking Ivy Rose as a name. It%26#039;s cute and lovely.
My name is Susan, and I know that%26#039;s the name of a kind of lily. It%26#039;s a pretty name but the actual name of the flower is Black-eyed Susan, and for a while in grade 3 I got teased because of that, but it%26#039;s still a lovely name.
My cousin%26#039;s name is Flora, and it%26#039;s such a cute name. It sounds very delicate and elegant, it%26#039;s simply gorgeous!
Sapphire Rose is nice. Classy and sweet, and still elegant. Really pretty :)
Raine or Skye are two names I really love as a middle name. Jada Raine or Ruby Skye are really pretty.
April is also one of my favourite girl names. April Jasmine or April Jade is adorable, and she can go by AJ. April Skye is nice.too.
But, my favourite would still have to be Autumn Lily :)

Autumn is pretty, but depends on when the baby is born. Holly is pretty for a December baby. I like the name April, but I%26#039;m not sure it%26#039;s appropriate for babies born in other months.

There are tiny light green bugs on the underside of my petunias that are having babies and eating the flowers!
What are these little eaters and how can I get rid of them? The parent bugs are almond shaped and about the size of 8 grains of sand. The babies are the size of about 2 grains of sand. HELP!
There are tiny light green bugs on the underside of my petunias that are having babies and eating the flowers!
Sounds like you have aphids. The best you can do is order some ladybugs, or search your local home and garden store for an insecticide. Aphids are a HUGE annoyance, especially on flowering plants.
Reply:Now you have me scratching my head. Light green and that size immediately calls to mind aphids, but they don%26#039;t munch, they sip out plant juices from their straw like mouths.
Munchers more often bring to mind a %26quot;worm%26quot; like insect such as a caterpillar. There are some beetles who munch.......do your unwelcome guests have hard sells?
If your guests are soft, that is without a hard shell, soap and water works well. However petunias are a little tricky to use soap........so just a 1/2 tsp dish soap per gallon of water.
If it%26#039;s a hard shell insect, then you%26#039;ll probably have to upgrade to a plant dust....pyrethrum, rotenone, or even Sevin.
Reply:aphids.
Reply:The bugs you have are called greenfly, you can get greenfly killer from most garden centers or i use washing up liquid mixed with water 10% washing up liquid to 90% water. Apply this with a spray gun every couple of days until they dissapear and spray once a week as a detterent, this will not harm any plants. Dale

Would this be a good gift for my friend when she has her baby?
My best friend is having her baby tomorrow, and I want to give her something special. I am sure she will be getting plenty of flowers and little stuffed animals for the baby, etc.
I am going to get something for the baby too, of course, but I was thinking about getting her a pair of blue topaz earrings -- each one will symbolize one of her boys (now that she is a mom of 2! :))
Is that a cool idea? Was there any special or unique gift you ever gave a friend who had a baby?
Thanks!
Would this be a good gift for my friend when she has her baby?
I think that%26#039;s a wonderful gift.
I always give a new mother a copy of Robert Munsch%26#039;s book %26quot;Love You Forever%26quot; and also Sam McBratney and Anita Jeram%26#039;s %26quot;Guess How Much I Love You?%26quot; because they are sweet, charming, adorable books that make me sniffle and little kids love having them read aloud.
Reply:That is really sweet. There were two gifts that I loved that I received. Both were baby books, both different but they were hand made, which to me was the one of the best gifts. Any thing that shows time, effort and thought is a great gift. I think she will like it, plus its an added bonus, she can wear them and think about her child and you every time.
Reply:Yes, it is a great gift, and will make her feel so pretty, with her two boys.
Reply:thats a great idea, so often the moms are forgotten in all the excitement of the new arrival. I always try to make my friends a relaxation basket, with candles, scented oils, bubble bath and stuff like that, because after baby comes, you will need to take a moment here and there just for you.
Reply:That is good. I also like the locket my husband got me - a real simple one, I think from redenvelope.com.

Reply:I think that is a wonderful idea, geting a gift for your friend is great, a woman gets so much special attention when she is pregnant but once the baby is born most of the attention is shifted to the baby and the mom is left out. By getting her a gift lets her know how special she is.

Do u know a pretty flower girl hairdo/hairstyle for baby girl/toddler? for my brothers wedding?
do u have a good toddler flower girl hairstyle or hairdo? for wedding?
Her hair is a little curly, short. she%26#039;s only 15 months. longer on the sides from me loving to see her in pigtails...;)
PLEASE HELP! HERE ARE A FEW PICS:

Do u know a pretty flower girl hairdo/hairstyle for baby girl/toddler? for my brothers wedding?
My favorite flower girl hairdo, would be hair in a bun with ringlets flowing out of the bun.
Both my flower girls had their hair that way. It was soooo cute!
Good luck and Congrats!
Reply:Most 15 month olds do not have enough hair to do a traditional up do. Not to mention that it is nearly impossible to have them sit still! Also most babies/toddlers have hair that is so fine it won%26#039;t keep a style anyway.
I would suggest to keep it simple. Maybe a headband that compliments the dress or wedding colors that has some flowers on it. They make satin headbands for babies that are especially gentle for their heads.
Or you may want to try some fancy barrets to put the sides up off of her face. Since her hair is curly I think it will look very cute just letting it curl and not making too much of a fuss over it.
You know she will look adorable even if you did nothing with her hair. Good luck!
PS be careful where you post picture of your babies, there are too many sickos out there. I would suggest if you do post them to photo shop their faces out.
Reply:I can%26#039;t see the pics cuz I don%26#039;t have myspace, BUT here are some ideas I found.

PS be careful where you post picture of your babies, there are too many sickos out there. I would suggest if you do post them to photo shop their faces out.

What do you bring to someone when you first visit them in the hospital after they've had a baby?
My cousin/best friend just had a baby girl. This is the first time that someone that I%26#039;ve been close to has had a baby and I am going to visit her in the hospital tomorrow. Am I supposed to bring something like a stuffed animal for the baby? Do I bring the mom flowers? I%26#039;d like some cute ideas/suggestions... Please help.
What do you bring to someone when you first visit them in the hospital after they%26#039;ve had a baby?
dead cat would be nice.
Reply:Make up a gift basket, it%26#039;s easy and homemade, so it will mean a lot to the new mom (and baby!) You can put essential baby products in it such as diapers, bottles, burping blankets, wipes, powder, binkies, rattle/stuffed animal/tiny toy, etc. Make it a themed color, suchas blue or pink, and maybe add an outfit that would match the colors/theme of the basket. It%26#039;s easy, affordable, and creative. Good luck! :)
Reply:Bring her flowers, since she has been in the hospital see if there is a certain food she wants. And for the baby, onsies, diapers, onsies, onsies, and did I say onsies?
Reply:Bring a cute outfit or a blanket for the baby, and a care basket for mom, with maybe a magazine, chocolates, a soothing candle. I enjoyed it!
Reply:When I had my last child the only thing that I really cared for was diapers! So take stuff that they can really use like diapers and wipes and bottles if using bottles. Dont take flowers or anything like that. Cause if anyone sent me flowers it was more trouble than anything. Hope that this helps!
Reply:Make mom a Little basket with stuff to pamper her!! all attention is on that baby as cute as it is she needs to take care of herself to be a new great mommy. Nail polish candy good magazine etc.
Reply:I am a postpartum nurse and here are some things that my patient%26#039;s thoughtful friends and families bring:
clothes for baby, blankets for baby, flowers, balloons, lollipops, cookies and candies (some really cute ones too like chocolate cigars and lollipop shaped cookies with icing), fruit baskets, food from the mom%26#039;s favorite restaurant, pizza or chinese ordered to the room, chocolate covered strawberries, slippers/robe for mom, magazines and light reading for mom, DVDs and CDs for mom while in the hospital, massage oils and lotions for mom, aromatherapy items, neck pillow filled with lavendar that you heat up in the microwave - feels great, pedicure kit for mom (dad gives the foot massage first)
Reply:Flowers and a balloon.
Reply:A big industrial size box of maxi pads.
Reply:when i had my baby i got a basket full of stuff like bubble bath, lotion, shower soap, a pedicure kit and pumice stone, toenail polish and body spray. it was the best thing i could have gotten, because my feet had been neglected from not being able to reach them the last 2 months of pregnancy due to my big belly.
Reply:I know it%26#039;s all about the baby, but maybe something for the mom. She%26#039;s worn out and probably really tired. You can always check the gift shop, they usually have some cute little outfits in them. The hospital where I had my daughter had a cute little t-shirt and matching hat with the hospitals name on it, and the t-shirt had baby animals on it, and said I was born at Credit Valley (name of the hospital)
Reply:The best gift I got in the hospital was a box of diapers, and some %26quot;cards%26quot; made by my friends that I could redeem for a free housecleaning, or free dinner. Helping your friend out is a much better gift than flowers. Offer to do some laundry or cook a few meals for her. She will LOVE it :)
Reply:A nice little Congratulations %26quot;mommy and daddy%26quot; card, maybe a few balloons. Something for the baby might be nice but not too much cause no one really wants to have to pack all that stuff home with them. Some flowers for the mom would be a nice suggestion and the stuffed animal for the baby.
Reply:what about the dad? mom %26amp; baby get all the attention %26amp; goodies and dad gets left out. bring a little something for each and dont forget dad.
Reply:I think I would go with a gift card to a store where she can buy something for her or the baby. She needs to travel light for the trip home with the baby and flowers others are or she might be allergic to. And stuffed animals become a mess to clean up after you get a dozen or so from well meaning friends. Let her pick up what she needs and go shopping with her and hold the baby while she looks around for her and the baby%26#039;s needs!
Reply:There is usually cute stuff in the gift shop. Something nice for the new mom would be maybe a gift card to a spa or something....she%26#039;ll want to feel %26quot;sexy%26quot; again soon..since she has her body back to herself now. Maybe a new haircut, massage, or pedicure will be appreciated. Will help with the stress of being a new parent too.
You should bring something for the baby. I%26#039;d suggest clothes...everyone brings a stuffed animal...and they all end up in the closet. :)
Reply:flowers, chocolate and baby clothes and toys
Reply:id bring a potted flower plant and something cute for the baby, like a personalized stuff animal, or personalized blanket?
Reply:flowers are nice, it lights up the maternity ward..
a fruit basket will enable the new mom to have a healthy snack when she is hungry !
so go ahead and get this stuff !
Reply:Bring whatever you like. I know when I had my daughter my friend brought me a dozen roses and a small stuffed bear for her. If you want to go more than that, go to Babies R Us and look at the gift baskets....Wal-Mart has them too. The best thing someone got me was the Johnson %26amp; Johnson baby kit. It has all the meds they could possible use.
Reply:Bring yourself and a smile. :) You have to remember that mom and baby will have other visitors, and everyone (or mostly everyone) will be bringing gifts. Not only do mom and dad have to get themselves and their baby to the car, but also 5 flower arrangements, 6 teddy bears, several outfits for the baby, 15 cards, and anything else that anyone brings.
A nice gift to %26quot;give%26quot; your cousin would be an offer to babysit at a later date, when she%26#039;s recovered from her labor and delivery, and your second cousin is a little older. :)
Reply:Some mylar balloons, a soft stuffed animal, some chocolate for the mom (Lord knows she needs it! lol), and pretty much anything brightly colored. ;)
Reply:I%26#039;d suggest a card. They are going to have enough stuff to bring home from the hospital as it is. Wait until they get home for the flowers and cute stuff.
Reply:Something for Mom and Dad! They have been through a lot (especially Mom) and will get TONS of stuff for the baby. How about a pampering basket with lotions, bath products, a relaxation CD, etc. Or a gift certificate for a massage or take-out when the new parents too sleep deprived to cook?? Maybe a good box of chocolates??
Reply:baby gifts, ballons wiil nice.
Reply:I loved when people brought me flowers and a gift for my little cutie.
Reply:Lots of people bring flowers. After I had my baby I had so many flowers I didn%26#039;t know (or even care) what to do with. So, in my opinion don%26#039;t do flowers because EVERYONE does. By a small gift for the baby OR call your best friend and ask her what one thing she is craving to eat and pick it up on your way to the hospital. Hospital food SUCKS and my best friend did this for me when I had my son.
Reply:A doctors appointment for a snip and tie procedure.
Reply:I had my baby girl 4 mths ago , I got teddy bears ,cards , flowers and balloons at the hospital. The only thing that i really liked was the balloon and flowers. Who ever said maxipads , is right we sure did need them , lol . But flowers are a nice gift.
Reply:A friend of mine sent me a cookie bouquet! It was great because hospital breakfast sucks!! The other great things besides the cards and flowers and clothes?? Gift cards!! No matter how prepared you think you are, someone is running to Babies R Us within the first few days of arriving home.

I think that the flowers are perfect the way that they are. Are you looking for pictures of the champagne roses with the baby%26#039;s breath and stephanois? Here are a few pictures that I was able to find. I hope that it helps!

Wot do u do or say 2 some 1 who's just lost a baby.........?
a very colse employees wife has just lost a babe though still born bith the baby was full term.what can i do or say to them to show my simpathy.feel so much sorrow for them as they had to go through ivf treatment 2 have this baby.it it right 2 give flowers.what do i do.please give honest answers please.
Wot do u do or say 2 some 1 who%26#039;s just lost a baby.........?
I lost a baby myself and to be honest, no two days were the same for me, by that I mean, one day I would be grateful that people had asked how I was and showed sympathy for me, then the next I wanted to tell them to mind their own business (although I never did). From my personal experience I wouldn%26#039;t send a card, flowers etc as its not nice having those sort of things in the house to remind you of your lost child, instead I would politely say I am sorry for your loss, and if you need anything or want to talk I am here for you. Although they probably wont talk to you, the gesture of offering your time, will mean much more to then, plus you wont know which day you will be catching them on, so you are acting concerned and not nosey . Good luck its a very difficult subject.
Reply:Yeah i think flowers are a great idea. Just sympathise and show you care by being there when they need a hand or are finding it hard to cope. :) goodluck
Reply:Flowers are a good idea. Then just say sorry for their loss. Don%26#039;t try to say too much else. When you%26#039;re going through something and people say things like%26quot; i know how you feel%26quot;, it only makes them feel worse. Just tell them you care very much about them and that you are very sorry. Flowers are very appropriate.
Reply:Flowers are nice. Make sure to give them a big hug and tell them how sorry you are for their loss. Let them do the talking. You could also bring over a meal.
Reply:say sorry and try to get them out of the house and try to get there mind off of the baby thing mm like go out to eat or go to somwhere fun
Reply:Say exactly what you feel which is %26quot;There are no words to express the sorrow you must feel and that I feel for you, I am truly at a loss for words, but I am here for you when you are ready to talk.%26quot; Normal grief process with this kind of event is about 2 weeks. Then the survivor is ready to talk, which is, ironically when people start fading away as life returns to normal. Best thing you can do is be available. You%26#039;ll know, they%26#039;ll start talking, grab a box of Kleenex and listen and when you are both cried out, and you are comfortable, tell them you%26#039;ll be there for them again if they need to cry. If this persists to long however, they may need grief counseling. God Bless.
Reply:there is not lot you can do. just let them know that you are there for them when they need you. weather it%26#039;s to talk or go shopping for them. this is truly a heart breaking thing to deal with. good luck with this one.
Reply:there is not much you can say because unless you have experienced what they have you have no idea what to say!!
what i would do is just be there.. show affection in a form of a hug and wait until they say something.. sometimes the best thing you can say to someone is nothing at all!!!
Reply:Do they have a garden? Could you perhaps get a rose or flower that will come every year? With an appropriate name like %26quot;peace%26quot; or %26quot;hope%26quot; or something like that?
Or something that will flower around this time every year? They will never forget but they might look forward to the buds opening each anniversary or something?
In a small way it will give them something to focus on for a short while - planting it - watering it etc. and might give them comfort.??
You know best whether this is good idea or not. Best wishes.
Reply:course you can always confort the mom by saying that the kid is in heaven now.. etc
Reply:say i%26#039;m sorry and flowers.
Reply:You can express sympathy, but be careful about saying that you understand what they%26#039;re going through unless you actually went through the same thing. It is a terrible and tragic experience to lose a pregnancy. People take it very differently. Flowers are probably appreciated and are certainly an appropriate response (make sure the florist knows why you%26#039;re sending flowers so s/he puts the right arrangement together). Maybe offer to be there if they need anything or need to talk to anyone.
Good luck, and deepest sympathies to the parents.
Reply:This is going to be very difficult for her but a card with a little message inside saying that you thinking of her and flowers would be nice.
Reply:Flowers are a nice idea. Just be sure to tell them that you are very sorry for their loss. There%26#039;s not a whole lot you can do.
Reply:As someone who has lost a baby (also after infertility issues), there is nothing you can say and it%26#039;s mostly better not to try to conjure up something profound to say because nothing will make it better. Flowers are good and a basic sympathy card just to show you are thinking of them is probably the best and safest way to offer condolences. When it was me, I didn%26#039;t want to hear anyone try to compare my loss to one of their%26#039;s because my feelings were unique to me and my own loss. I appreciated cards that were simple and supportive. Hope it helps.
PS....However you do it, just DO it. It%26#039;s far worse to feel like no one is noticing your loss at all.
Reply:If I were you, I would sit down and write them a really nice letter. Tell them how you feel about what they are going through. Just let them know that you care and that you are there for them as a friend if they need someone to talk to.
Reply:Just be there for them, my wife had a still born as well
Reply:tell her to try again
Reply:Saying something, saying *anything*, is better than saying nothing.
Even if what you say is unintentionally hurtful (though well intentioned), it%26#039;s better than having the person feel alone and abandoned. Talking shows that you care.
Reply:Send a bouquet or plant with a note expressing you sympathy. Keep it short %26amp; leave out details. Just say %26quot;I are sorry for your loss%26quot;. It is very painful for people to ignore your loss as if stillborn means no baby. My sister %26amp; I have both had stillborns %26amp; the pain is very real.
Reply:give them a nice card and some flowers
Reply:I recantly lost a baby to cot death and there is nothing you can say to make her feel better if she wants to talk then she will you just need to give her time and space to come to terms with her loss.
Reply:tell them you are sorry - ask if they need to talk- ,do not tell them the baby is in a better place b/c the parents will never feel that way - you may want to take up a collection at work so they can bury the baby
Reply:In a time like this it is in my opinion best to keep it simple. I think flowers are a nice idea. If you are close to them, and if you mean it, send a card just saying how if they need help with anything, if they need someone to talk to, they can call you.
Just knowing somone is there in times like these is very thoughtful, and helpful.
Reply:tell them that you do not know how it feels, but you want to support them and are praying for them. tell them you are there for them if they want to talk or somebody to cry with. offer meals they can warm up in the microwave; offer them house cleaning; offer yourSELF. that will mean more than anything.
Reply:Well firstly don%26#039;t mention about babies to them and don%26#039;t point out or look at babies on the street and be sure not to say %26quot;Congratulations on the loss%26quot;.
The best thing you could do is to let her know you are totally there for her for whatever she needs or wants and make sure she knows this.
Don%26#039;t over do it though, not every time but at most times when you see/meet or speak to her, ask her if she needs any help with anything, no matter how big or small. If she ever says that she needs to do something then ask her if it%26#039;s something you can do for her.
You may also want to offer her ANY HELP at all with the baby%26#039;s funeral (if she%26#039;s having one).
Sorry to hear about her loss.
Reply:Don%26#039;t pretend to understand their loss, unless you have suffered like them, just be there to listen and hug them when they cry and try not to use remarks like your young enough to have another etc. This pain will never leave them.

Reply:You treat them as if the lost a child they loved for a lifetime, show the same respect and sense of loss. In fact their loss is greater because they never got the chance to know their child. Give them something to show remembrance, because so many will try to get them to forget.
Reply:don%26#039;t offer flowers they are sometimes given as a celebration, and write a note just saying you are thinking of them. this was the nicest thing that someone done for me. also bring meals for them, just knock with something hot, also shopping, and perhaps sanitory protection for the lady, as she will be needing this for some time and will not feel like getting this herself, quiet simple things like this will ensure you are looking after the couples basic needs, so they have time to grieve good luck, they are very lucky to have a friend like you!

What was your favorite baby shower gift?
Hey All...
I%26#039;m just windering what was your favorite baby shower gift besides diapers? Mine was somthing my best-friend got me. She filled a diaper bag ( the diaper bag is so cute it has butterflys %26amp; flowers on it) with little things like baby pain reliver, gas drops, the snot sucker thing ( i don%26#039;t rember the offical name of it), bottles ( i bottle feed) a couple things of formula, a picture album, 2 disposable camreas, bibs, 2 onsies, %26amp; then she got me a robe,a pair of slippers, %26amp; a big thing of my favorite kind of lotion. I LOVE that gift. It showed that she really cared %26amp; she put a lot of effort in it :). So what was your favorite gift besides diapers?
What was your favorite baby shower gift?
i had 2 favorite things from my baby showers gifts. the first one is the 3 tier Diaper cake my sis made it was the cake part was all diapers and around the cake were things like bottles little teething toys, undershirts, socks etc. On top of the diaper cake was a stuffed bear. i thought it was so cool and she made it herself.
the second one is a which will last a long time which is the fischer price newborn to toddler rocker it has a vibration on it to mimic a car ride etc. then when he gets bigger he can use it as a rocking chair.
Reply:One of my favorite baby items was the bassinet. I could keep it in the living room %26amp; it was up high so I didn%26#039;t have to bend way over. A bouncer %26amp; swing is great too.
Reply:I didn%26#039;t have a %26#039;shower,%26#039; but. My favourite: a couple of boxes of %26#039;Trumpette%26#039; socks.
(http://www.trumpette.com if curious) We get compliments on them everywhere.
Reply:For me I can%26#039;t narrow it down to just one item...I had a few.
1. Gift certificate for me to use at a spa on any treatment within the $100 limit
2. Items for when my little one got older such things as sippy cups, safety locks, bowls, step stool to reach the sink, first toothbrush and toothpaste. I can%26#039;t tell you what a blessing it was to have these items on hand, instead of having to go buy them.
3. Bumbo chair - it went everywhere with us
4. Travel swing - again it went everywhere with us
5. Photography gift certificate for a package that had my little one photographed (in my home) at birth, 3, 6, 9 and 12 months. A year in photographs!
Now when giving gifts I try to purchase and pass on some of the items I appreciated the most.
Reply:My favorite baby shower gift was my Diaper Cake %26amp; Washclothes Lollipops my friend from high school made me!!!
Reply:Florida Prepaid College account opening form. It shows my friend was thinking forward. We were thinking of having the child. She already saw him attending college. Can u imagine? Very thoughtful, very cute.
Reply:I got this gorgeous bassinette with frills and pink bows--it%26#039;s so girly and sweet--I love it!! I look at it everyday now and look forward to my precious little girl using it very soon!!
Reply:My Mother-In-Law and her sister went in together and got my husband and I a Graco Travel Crib. That was the BEST. We used it in hotels (I have heard too many stories of babies getting killed in hotel cribs), trips to grandparents houses, aunts %26amp; Uncles, camping in our trailer, etc.
Reply:I never had a baby shower.
But I%26#039;ll remember all the stuff you really liked and give that gift to someone sometime.
My daughter just got married last year so who knows when I might just get to do that.
Reply:I used a gift certificate to buy this, it is called a Podee bottle, they sell them at BRUS and TRU. It looks like a pacifier that has a hose going down into the bottle. It was a lifesaver on more than one occasion. It made car rides easy, I didn%26#039;t have to carry the baby if we were out, and as he got older it was great for a ride in the stroller. I HIGHLY recommend this as a gift in the future for people and always buy it for someone having/had a baby.
Reply:That%26#039;s great!! I make %26#039;Diaper Cakes%26#039; that people buy from me and give for gifts to showers. I still say my favorite %26#039;gift%26#039; was a set of my favorite soap and lotion, for showers at the hospital, a special %26#039;labor jammie%26#039;, and a handmade scarf for me and matching blanket for baby.(Wisconsin Winter Baby!)
Congrats on the baby!!

Reply:I got a Fisher Price %26quot;Flutterby Dreams%26quot; mobile that I don%26#039;t know I if I could live without! It requires batteries and %26quot;sings%26quot; lullabys while lighting up and projecting a moving image on the ceiling. It goes right in my daughter%26#039;s crib and runs for 10 minutes. She can turn it back on herself with a simple touch, if it runs out before she falls asleep. It has been a lifesaver!! My daughter LOVES it. She has ever since she%26#039;s been born, and learned to turn it on at a very young age. I don%26#039;t know what I%26#039;d have done without it!!
