I need some tips on decorating--games--a little step by step instruction-- what to serve? I have never done this before.

Im having a baby shower with a flower and anything pink theme. I need some ideas to do with decorating--games-
I attended a lovely baby shower a few weeks ago and the theme was %26quot;blue%26quot; because the guest of honor is having a boy. Because there were very few in attendance, the table was set with china and each guest received a small, glass, container with their name on it filled with daisy%26#039;s, baby%26#039;s breath, and a deep blue flower. The centerpiece was a conglomeration of %26quot;boy toys%26quot; such as antique wooden ships and such, as well as more flowers. Instead of %26quot;games%26quot; we were each given a %26quot;burping towel%26quot; and our choice of embroidery threads to make something for the guest of honor to use when the baby was being burped etc. Each of us came up with a different idea and most of them turned out simply darling. So, for your pink theme, here are some ideas:

1. Centerpieces of carnations, day lillies, gerbera daisies etc. might be very nice.

2. Each guest might get a %26quot;favor%26quot; of a miniature pot with a seed pack, tied with pink raffia, and with a card with their name on it.

3. I%26#039;m not a %26quot;game%26quot; person, so I loved the idea of embroidering the burping towels myself. You can purchase these towels very inexpensively and get your threads at a hobby or novelty shop.

4. Other games, if you insist :), might include guessing how big around the mother to be%26#039;s tummy is right now and how big it will get, making up names for the new baby by blending the mom and dad%26#039;s names etc. I think Hallmark makes a book of games for these kind of showers.

5. Food wise: panini sandwiches, salad with fresh pears and gorgonzola, cheese and crackers etc. are all nice.

6. For dessert instead of the traditional %26quot;cake%26quot;,, how about cupcakes or even tiramisu?

Enjoy!
